LabVIEW Development
Over the last 20 years, we have planned, developed, and rolled out custom LabVIEW applications. We also provide training, integration, and follow-up support services. Types of projects include:
- Testing – Optical transponder test station
- Research - Custom earthquake spectrum analyzer
- Instrumentation - BERT Instrument added features
- Telecom – Test automation tools
GUI Design
For a truly intuitive GUI, the design must reflect how the User works, not how the software works. This is critical for the success of any application because it ensures immediate and continued user acceptance with a low learning curve. Designing Usability is not a lengthy process; it comes from experience. A GUI should flow so naturally that you think, "It's so simple! How else could it be?"
Then there are special situations that require special GUIs. When applications are shown to customers, the public, or board members, the GUI represents your company. For these high profile situations our team creates custom graphics for the quality impression you need to make.
ExamplesDocumentation
Clear, concise documentation is important for any application. How much documentation is the product of budget and complexity. But a design document is always the first step. This is both a planning tool and a roadmap to understand the application architecture. Other documentation may include user manuals, videos, written tutorials, and internal help documents. Thanks to the graphical nature of LabVIEW, we create self-documenting vi's with much of the design detail in the block diagram. The larger the application, the more documentation is required. For example, the TAZ application for automated Telecom testing has a 100 page user manual, a 230-page command manual, and integrated video tutorials.
